If power companies can’t meet demands, then why don’t they increase the electricity tariff? What good is load shedding doing anybody? Industries are just paying higher prices for alternate sources of electricity. Increase the tariff, keep the residential demand low — increase it till demand meets supply — and keep me online!
(we have 2.5 hours of official load-shedding here in Navi Mumbai, apart from another 1 to 3 hours of non-official load-shedding)
